General English
We don't just teach vocabulary, we teach how to actually use English.
Overview
General English is about genuine communication, not grammar drills. Most learners know hundreds of rules but freeze when they need to actually speak. We close that gap through conversation-led lessons that build fluency alongside accuracy.
Every session is designed around real situations you encounter: renting an apartment, handling a medical appointment, understanding fast native speech, or holding your own at a dinner party. We balance speaking, listening, reading, and writing with a curriculum mapped to the Common European Framework so your progress is measurable and internationally recognised.
Your Programme Roadmap
Every course is delivered as a structured programme with defined phases, milestones, and measurable outcomes, not a series of unrelated lessons. Here is how a typical programme unfolds.
Baseline & Diagnostic
Full four-skills assessment mapped to the CEFR. Identify active vs. passive vocabulary gap. Record baseline speaking sample (words per minute, pause rate, error frequency).
Fluency Activation
Extended speaking in every lesson. Convert passive vocabulary into active use through targeted drills. Build listening for natural-speed native audio. First short writing tasks.
Range & Accuracy
Grammar in context of real communication. Collocations and phrasal verbs. Register control (formal vs. informal). Extended listening to Australian media.
Consolidation & Next Level
Final assessment across all four skills. Review CEFR movement. Agree ongoing practice plan or progression to next level.
